Alexandre Garcia, AFMT (#157453), APCC (#20366)

Relational and Existential Psychotherapist

Life can be beautiful and rewarding, but also overwhelming when anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles feel too heavy to carry alone. I work with individuals, couples, and families to ease these burdens and create space for healing, growth, and deeper connection.

I draw from a strengths-based, person-centered, and existential perspective, helping clients clarify their goals and move toward greater resilience. I have a particular passion for men’s mental health, supporting men in shifting away from “just carrying on” toward facing challenges with honesty and strength. With couples, I focus on repairing wounds and fostering intimacy. With families, I help bring harmony by looking at how each member fits within the larger system.

Together, we can work toward peace, stronger relationships, and greater harmony with yourself and those around you.

Individual Therapy

When working with individuals, I listen carefully to your story, paying special attention to the resilience and strengths that may sometimes be overlooked. Much of therapy is about helping you access the strength and agency already within you to become who you want to be. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify the changes that will best support your growth.

Drawing from a person-centered and existential perspective, I remain attuned to you with empathy and care, checking in with how our work is affecting you in the present moment and how it may be shaping new directions in your life. This approach provides both key insights into your immediate experience and a wider perspective on your long-term growth. My goal is to help you face challenges with honesty, cultivate resilience, and create lasting change while honoring your unique path.

Couples & Families

In my work with couples, I focus on the wounds that can come between partners—those unspoken hurts that erode trust and intimacy over time. Together, we create a safe space to examine these challenges, address them openly, and begin rebuilding the foundation of connection. While this process isn’t always easy, it can strengthen bonds and allow couples to move forward with deeper trust and resilience.

With families, I use a similar strengths-based approach while also looking at the system as a whole. Each member brings their own experiences and struggles, and together we explore how those dynamics shape the family environment. My goal is to help stabilize relationships, reduce discord, and build greater harmony and peace within the family.
