Multicultural Affirming Therapist

I am passionate about creating supportive spaces for individuals, families, couples, and youth, including historically marginalized communities, to explore their mental health through a cultural, compassionate, and holistic lens.

As an Indo-Fijian (South Asian and Pacific Islander) therapist, I value honoring and holding the whole person to help them thrive. I tailor my approach to fit each client's needs by exploring their unique qualities and resilience with creativity and realistic goals, providing support and validation every step of the way.

I am especially attuned to pre-teens, teens, and young adults struggling with their identity, social, and academic stressors. I also provide support for couples and families wishing to reconnect through various life transitions and issues.

With a foundation in humanistic, narrative, cognitive behavioral, and dialectical behavioral approaches, I aim to assist those navigating stress, perfectionism, self-esteem, relationship issues, and loss—especially as these intersect with cultural identity, family expectations, and navigating multiple cultural worlds.

Couples Counseling

I work with couples to break unhelpful patterns and build a stronger connection. We can work together to implement practical tools and a safe space to work through what's holding you back.

I specifically work with South Asian and multicultural/racial couples to strengthen their connections and build healthier relationship patterns, creating space where each partner's voice is heard and valued. My approach honors the unique dynamics you face—balancing tradition with modern life, managing family involvement, and respecting your cultural values while building your own path forward.

You might benefit from couples therapy if you're:

  • Struggling to communicate about difficult topics or feeling unheard
  • Navigating significant life transitions—parenthood, career changes, loss, or other major shifts
  • Feeling caught between family expectations and your relationship needs
  • Working through cultural or generational differences
  • Wanting to strengthen trust, intimacy, and conflict resolution skills

What to expect: My practice provides a safe, judgment-free space where we'll focus on developing more effective communication patterns and helping you navigate the complexities that arise from cultural differences—building bridges of understanding while honoring your diverse backgrounds.

Your relationship deserves support. Taking this step isn't a sign of weakness—it's an investment in your future together.

Grief & Loss Therapy

Grief rarely arrives the way we expect it to. It can come with a breakup, a diagnosis, a move, an estrangement, or the quiet end of something you thought would last. However it found you, you don't have to carry it alone.

I support adults and teens through loss, life transitions, and relationship ruptures. Together we'll make room for what you're feeling — without rushing to "move on." My focus is on creating room for grief in all its forms — the kind that's recognized and the kind that often goes unspoken. Teens, in particular, are often grieving in ways the adults around them don't always see — and they deserve a place that's genuinely theirs.

This work might look like:

  • Processing a death, breakup, or the loss of a relationship that mattered
  • Navigating major life transitions — leaving home, changing identities, the end of a chapter
  • Making sense of relationship ruptures with family, partners, or friends
  • Finding your footing when grief shows up as anxiety, anger, numbness, or exhaustion

You don't need the right words or a clear reason. If something's been lost and you're feeling it, that's enough to begin

Individual Therapy

I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety and grief, providing compassionate support as they navigate these challenging emotional landscapes. My practice is grounded in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where healing can unfold at your own pace.

In addition to my core specializations, I have extensive experience supporting individuals with intimacy concerns, selective mutism, trauma recovery, and self-esteem and identity exploration. I understand that each person's journey is unique, and I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet you exactly where you are.

Whether you're working through loss, managing overwhelming anxiety, or exploring deeper questions about who you are and how you connect with others, I'm here to support you on your journey with warmth, expertise, and genuine care.
