Life can be emotionally difficult. At times, we may feel lost, hopeless, anxious, or confused. While emotions guide us, they can sometimes become overwhelming or disproportionate. In such moments, talking with someone can help you gain insight into yourself and the world around you. Therapy can teach you how to manage these emotions, turning them into helpful guides rather than distractions that impact your work, relationships, and overall well-being.
Ken's focus is on individuals needing relationship-related support, Sharon has expertise in grief/loss and anxiety-related life transitions, and Grace has expertise in trauma, domestic violence and intimate partner violence.
Therapists have different training and use a variety of methods, such as psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and more. MACS therapists are eclectic, meaning they draw from a broad range of therapeutic approaches and tailor them to fit each individual situation.
Ken primarily uses humanistic and psychodynamic psychotherapy but also incorporates other techniques such as narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy as needed.
